Many people shy away from lifting heavy, but it's a game-changer for your fitness journey. BDY began as a yoga studio, but as we grew in numbers and interests, we realized the importance of strength training for longevity. Being strong is more than just lifting weight. Strength gives us the ability to participate in life's activities such as carrying groceries and picking up children. When we have strong muscles, we burn more energy at rest, thus helping maintain a healthy metabolism. That's right- muscle keeps the body's engine running! 

BDY offers strength training classes 6 days per week, at different times per day to meet busy lifestyles. Why do BDY Strength 45 classes?

    We prioritize a well-rounded and safe workout experience, so each session is carefully structured:

  • Dynamic Warm-up & Mobility Segment: Before we hit the weights, we'll take you through specific joint mobility exercises and dynamic stretches to increase blood flow, warm up your muscles, and prepare your body for the movements ahead. This isn't a rushed five minutes; it's a foundational part of the class designed to prevent injury and enhance performance.

  • Whole-Body Strength Segments: The main portion of the class will involve structured strength work, focusing on compound lifts and challenging your major muscle groups. We'll use low-to-mid repetition sets with heavy-for-you weights to stimulate muscle growth and strength.

  • Expert Guidance: Our experienced instructors will provide personalized form checks and guidance, ensuring you're challenging yourself effectively while maintaining safety.

  • Proper Cool-down: We'll wrap up with static stretching to aid recovery and gradually bring your body back to a resting state.
